Itineraries

Day 1

CHANDIGARH – NARKHANDA (174 KMS/5-6 HRS)

After pickup from Chandigarh Airport/Railway station, start your wonderful vacation to Himachal starting from Narkhanda. Reach Shimla within 6 hours and check in into the hotel. Spend the evening exploring the place on your own. Dinner & Overnight stay.

Day 2

NARKANDA –SARAHAN (135 KMS/9 HRS)

Today start off your journey from Narkanda to Sarahan via Rampur, Sarahan famous for Shri Bhimakali Temple situated at 2150 mtrs is dedicated to the mother goddess Bhimakali presiding deity of the Rulers of former Bushahr Sate. After visiting the temple you can go the nearest town of Rampur Bushahr situated at 33 kms. A small township situated at 1,005 meters on the left bank of the Sutlej, serves as Bushahar’s winter capital. This township is well connected with major trading routes that joined Indian markets with Central Asia and Tibet. Also it is buzzed with mercantile activity, especially in November during the Lavi fair. Later in the evening come back to hotel for overnight stay.

Day 3

 SARAHAN-SANGLA + CHITKUL S/S  (98 KM./2HRS)

Today morning after breakfast, start your journey towards Sangla Valley which is located in the Kinnaur district of Himachal Pradesh. It is supposed to be one of the most beautiful valleys in the country. In Tibetan, the term Sangala means “Pass of Light” which refers to the valley receiving plenty of sunlight during the day. After relaxing in your hotel you can visit Chitkul village.  Chitkul is the last inhabited village situated near Indo-Tibet border at a distance of 20 km from Sangla. This village lies on the right bank of River Baspa. The most popular attraction of this village is the temple of local goddess ‘ChitkulMaathi’ also known as ‘Mata Devi’. Day will end up with tasty Dinner & comfortable Overnight stay at the hotel. 

Day 4

SANGLA - KALPA – NAKO (139 KMS/4 HRS)

Today morning, check-out from the Hotel & drive to Nako. Enroute visit Kalpa – The District Headquarter of Kinnar. Kalpa was known as Chini bungalow in the days when it was the Regional Capital. Kalpa has changed little in the last 500 years. Each & every corner of Kalpa facing Jorkanden & the Kinner Kailash Peaks, considered as one of the mythical homes of Lord Shiva & by its side is a 79 foot rock formation that resembles a Shivlinga that changes its colour as the day passes & is visible to the naked eye on a clear day. In evening visit Buddhist Gompa – Hu Bu Lan Kar. Arrive in Nako, check into the hotel and enjoy dinner & Overnight stay at the hotel. 

Day 5

NAKO – TABO – DHANKAR - TABO (126 KMS/4 HRS)

Today morning you can tour the village around and can also head on towards Tabo Monastery constructed in 996 AD; – Not just in Spiti but in the whole of the Tibetan Buddhist world it has very wonderful Chogs – Khor [‘Doctrinal Circle’ or ‘Doctrinal Enclave’]. This complex holds 9 Temples, 23 Chortens, a Monk’s Chamber & Nun’s Chamber. The monastery contains large number of Scriptures & Pieces of Art, Wall Painting & Stucco. After reaching Tabo check in at the hotel, post lunch you can visit the famous Dhankar Monastery, the traditional Capital of Spiti sits prettily on a hilltop. Today, more than 160 Lamas reside here. A Statue of Dhyan Buddha where four complete figures of Buddha sit back to back is the main attraction of this more than 7TH Century old Monastery. On the way back you can visit the pin valley the only cold desert in Himachal pradesh. Dinner & Overnight stay at the hotel. 

Day 6

TABO – KAZA (49 KMS/1 ½ HR )

After breakfast start your journey towards kaza, and check in at the hotel, post lunch you can visit Ki Monastery which is believed to be built by Dromton (1008 - 64 AD). Thereafter we’ll head on for Kibber Village and Kibber Sanctuary where you can spot Blue Sheep and Ibex. Our last spot will be Komic Village which is the highest village in Asia, located at a height of 18,000 feet above sea level. The beauty of this place cannot be described in words; it can only be felt and experienced with naked eyes. After such spectacular sightseeing come back to kaza for overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 7

KAZA- PIN VALLEY –KAZA

Today after breakfast check out from the hotel and drive to visit Pin Valley . Pin Valley National Park adjoins the Great Himalayan National Park (GHNP) on one side and the Rupi Bhabha Sanctuary on the other after sightseeing drive back to hotel dinner and overnight stay at hotel.

Day 8

KAZA- KUNZUM PASS - CHANDARTAAL   (96 KMS/2HRS)

Today morning after breakfast proceed towards Kunzum pass. Kunzum Pass is one of the highest motorable passes across the Kunzum range at an altitude of 4551 m. It serves as the entrance pass to Spiti valley from Lahaul. Goddess Kunjum (Durga/Parvati) resides in a temple on the Kunzum top and keeps guard over the pass and wards of the evil. Reach chandertaal lake by afternoon and enjoy the mystical scenic view of this lake till evening. Dinner and overnight stay at the Camp.

Day 9

CHANDARTAAL –ROTHANG PASS - MANALI. (137 KMS/3 HRS)

After breakfast check out from the hotel and move towards Manali. On the way cross stop by the famous Snow Point called Rohtang Pass . Reach Manali for overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 10

MANALI – CHANDIGARH (310 KMS/10-12 HRS)

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and return to Chandigarh while recalling all the memorable moments you just spent in Himachal…….
